The box takes up zero space inside the cabinet. 20A GFCI Tamper Resistant Outlet The outlet is 20 amp rated to accept the most demanding appliances being plugged into it. The outlet features tamper resistant (TR) plugs, and is water resistant (WR) rated. The outlet has integrated GFCI protection providing safety right at the source, if the outlet recognizes an unsafe interruption in the current, it will automatically shut off power to the outlet. The white outlet matches the white box for a clean look under the cabinet. The outlet is a standard decora outlet, so if needed, the outlet can easily be replaced should your power requirements change. The 20A outlet is backwards compatible with 15A plugs, meaning that both 15A plugs and 20A plugs, can be plugged into the outlet. The outlet is rated for residential and commercial applications. Quick Installation Feed your wire through one of the 6 knockouts in the box. There are 2 on the back, 2 on the bottom, and 1 on each side. Wire up the receptacle, and install the receptacle in the box. Use the included template to drill the holes through the cabinet, and then use the included screws to mount the power box to the underside of the cabinet. Alternatively the box can be wall mounted if desired. The outlet features Load terminals, so they can be used as a line out to daisy-chain and protect other outlets down the line. NEC and UL Approved for Kitchens The box is UL E31999 listed for USA installations, and cUL and CSA approved for Canada installations. The boxes must be installed between 15 inches and 20 inches above the countertop surface to comply with NEC kitchen receptacle code. Under cabinet power strips are a reliable and affordable solution to have no outlets in your backsplash, and create a super clean and modern look in your kitchen. The under cabinet power system includes the box and receptacle. How Many do I Need? The code for outlets under the cabinet are the same requirements as if they were installing in the backsplash. This is typically every 2 feet, however we highly recommend to consult with your electrician to verify your specific requirements.
